It is not enough just to have compassion, there must be a willingness to help. In Mark chapter 1, the man with leprosy came to Jesus and said, "If you are willing, you can make me clean." Then Jesus full of compassion reached out and touched the man saying, "I am willing. Be clean!" Compassion must go hand and hand with willingness to help alleviate suffering. If we are willing, there is so much we can do!
