We see in Mark 2 that Jesus spent time with those considered far off from God. Time and again in our prison ministry, we look at those hardened faces, young men who know what it is like to be rejected. Most are from broken homes and even from an early age were labeled as no good. Bringing the Gospel to this resistant group has been a challenge for our team. How do we show them that Jesus wants them to be a part of His family? How do we bring them to a firm decision to trust Christ for their future? The Calling of Levi in Mark 2 gave a perfect opportunity to show that the Lord has come for those who understand their need for help and that He still calls sinners to repentance.

One young man in our group of about forty, said that he was not sure if his family would accept him again. We are thankful to serve with the Christian and Missionary Alliance and to be in a country where we can befriend and share the Good News of Christ with sinners.
