One of our core values is education. In Burkina Faso, Alliance missionaries have been a part of four Bible translations. They have also instituted literacy classes and built schools, knowing how important it is for Christ-followers to be able to read and have access to Bibles in their own languages. Recent security issues have caused many schools to close and displaced children have been out of school for months and some even years. This past week we opened a small school to serve displaced children, to give them a second chance at receiving an education, but also to connect them with Christians and local churches. We are thankful to serve with Alliance missions that encourages us to provide educational opportunities.
