Troubling Times
We have taken great courage from the book of Daniel as the security situation in the country where we serve is increasingly perilous. We, too, have been much troubled and overcome by what we see and hear. But Daniel 8:27 tells us that Daniel got up and performed his duties for the king, even though he continued to be greatly troubled. That describes what we are doing. We are troubled and concerned, but we push on to do the work of the King who sent us. This involves being a source of hope, strength, and healing for those who have experienced firsthand tragedy, loss, and war. Our team has provided trauma healing training for our pastors’ wives and women leaders. We have continued about our teaching ministries and have used our resources to provide for some of the displaced. We are using Christian music, Christian radio and video to encourage people with the hope that the Gospel brings. Troubling times means that we should be about the King’s business which is to dispel fear and hatred by faithfully teaching the Word of God and proclaiming the Good News of the King of Kings.
