Several years ago, we were packing to return to Burkina Faso. A woman from Chapel Pointe in Carlisle, PA heard that I ride a motorcycle and she asked me if I had a good helmet. She seemed doubtful that I could really manage a motorcycle and handed me a very sturdy helmet with thick padding and a strong visor. I found though, on return, that I wasn't so comfortable riding the motorcycle any more and after a few months gave it up altogether. When one of our pastors was in need of transportation we offered him the motorcycle complete with helmet. Two weeks ago, he was in a very serious accident, which would have been fatal for him except for that helmet. The helmet cracked and he sustained a broken shoulder, but his head and face were without a scratch. That chain reaction of kindness and blessing spared the life of one of our pastors.
