Coming out of the drowsiness caused by a tranquilizer and returning to full consciousness is a relief. When we have escaped the stupor caused by "Routinaset" (see yesterday's article) we can look at our experience of Christ with new awareness. Instead of the misty glimpse that penetrated our lulled condition, we can take a full look at Him and at the glory and wonder of being saved. A genuine conversion, taken seriously, is the greatest experience a human being can ever have. The full magnitude of our salvation can never be realized this side of eternity. However, we need not settle for the "status quo" brand of Christian experience so common to many today. Our relationship with Christ is meant to go deeper and grow in intensity. This will require our wholehearted involvement. Treating such a relationship in a matter of fact way just will not cut it. It's time to get down to business and embrace the glorious reality of a personal relationship with our God. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, paid an awful price to bring about this relationship. Let's value it in the light of what it cost Him! "....Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind...." (From Luke 10:27). Selah! How to develop this level of relationship is our subject for tomorrow, God willing. Ron
