How often the Lord Jesus ministered to the outcast. Our Burkina Team looks for those who have known rejection, those without hope, those who have known nothing but shame. We have found many like this in the deaf community, especially among young women. This young woman is one who has found great comfort in finally being able to "hear" the Gospel. She has only recently learned to sign through classes we provide for those in the deaf community that were not able to attend school. She works hard at our sewing school. We continue to look for those we might help, whether at the prison, those handicapped, and girls at risk. Most recently, we opened a girls sewing school to give young women an opportunity to learn a practical skill. These young women were not given the opportunity of going to school.
Every society has those that are outcast, rejected, and looked down upon. It can be a widow, an unwed mother, a prisoner, or a lonely neighbor. We are sent out to proclaim the love of Christ, the acceptance of them by Christ into the most wonderful Kingdom and family anyone has ever known. Missions continues to be search and rescue.
