Andrew and I received this letter, but it is really for all of us in the C&MA. Thank you for sending us to serve here and for 100 years of faithful giving.

It is a pleasure for me to wish you a happy new year as the CMA Church has entered its 100 years of life in Burkina Faso.
There are times, I sat down and shake with thrilling and wondering joy about my salvation. It took missionaries from so far to sacrifice they life to come to people they never knew before. To cross all sort of dangers; human dangers, animal dangers, sickness dangers, spiritual dangers so that I can be saved. Imagine these people have delayed their coming, maybe I could have been deep in a certain religion right on my way to eternal condemnation. But here I am saved right on my way to see the face of our Lord Jesus Christ when we would have done with this world. God is good and His timing is just miraculous and mysterious.
In the same way, these days I have been pondering about the timing of God. If not God alone, could anyone have known 100 years ago, when the first God-sent-workers were stepping in Burkina that, 100 years to come an unborn couple Schaeffer will be in Burkina Faso in the midst of unimaginable political and security situation? God has been good and we will better grasp the impact of your sacrifice when we will gather before the Kind of all Earth. Your prayers, Teaching, Sermons, Heart, Help and courage has been beyond human understanding.
May the Lord who called you and send you be with you!
May the Lord increase in number the seed you are planting today!
May God make Himself known to all your offspring!
May God always raise among your offspring, faithful servants of our Lord!
