The story of the Prodigal Son has been lived out over and over during the many years that we have been involved in ministry. Our team serves at a detention center and we have seen many of these young men accept Christ as their Savior. One of them, who accepted Christ, said that he was asking the Lord to reunite him with his family. He ran away from home in a different country and had had no contact with his family for many years. One day, a woman showed up at the detention center. It was his mother. Social workers had tracked her down and she traveled from that other country to search for her son. The reunion was a miracle for both of them and she quickly packed up his few things and then off they went so that she could truly take her son home. We praise the Lord that he heard and answered this prayer of a new believer and that this relationship between mother and son could be restored. Praise the Lord with us and never give up praying over the lost or broken relationships of which you are aware.
