It is such a thrill for us to participate in baptismal services in Burkina Faso. Because Burkina is a landlocked country, most people are not very comfortable around water. Bathing is done with a bucket and sponge. So to go under water can be a frightening thing. But our Lord Jesus set the example by being baptized and then by His command to go into the world and baptize. Recently, two elderly women had the courage to profess their faith in Christ Jesus and then be baptized. They wanted to publicly show that they were born again, even though it took much to overcome their fear of going under water. We are thankful that this important command of the Lord Jesus is being followed and has continued to be part of our DNA.
