The Prophet Isaiah warned about people who do not notice what the Lord is doing (Is 5.12). In missions it is easy to miss how Christ is preparing the heart, working through a small act of kindness, or taking a message given and planting it firmly in the heart. To serve effectively it is important to have those constant reminders that it is the Lord Jesus who is working through us to bring many into His Kingdom. We need to notice the things that God is doing around us and be conscious of His presence and help in all we do. Our friend Nema Zerbo couldn’t stop praising the Lord that her goat gave birth to triplets! A great remedy for discouragement is to not focus on what we are doing, but to see God’s hand at work in providing, protecting, proliferating, and blessing us with His presence.
