Burkina Faso is a place where school is not free. Even though in the younger grades the costs may seem minimal most parents try to get their children into private schools where the class size is limited and student grade results are better. For widows, even the small sum of $10 and then a uniform and school fees, can be overwhelming. If you have children in higher grades the cost can be as much as $120 with fees higher for exam classes. Pray for our widows as they struggle to make even the first payment, as they go from school to school looking for places for their children, and as often they are forced to put their children into evening school (fees are lower) which comes with its own set of challenges. Pray for our team as we work with widows, that we would have wisdom and know how and when to help. (Twin boys that we have enrolled in our Christian school).
