The first rains. After six months with no rainfall, it is amazing how things come to life after just one big rain. It is an important reminder that the smallest acts of kindness can bring about big changes. Missions is proclaiming the Good News of salvation in Jesus Christ by doing good to those around us. We like to think of it as drops of rain on dried out souls! Our team recently provided help to a widow. Our first visit was so sad! But a week later when we visited again, she was truly changed! She had cleaned up her one room house, washed the piled up laundry, braided her hair, and even had her children cleaned up. One kind word, one visit, one hand reaching out to another, and suddenly new life begins. We have that power through Jesus Christ to refresh and bring to life those around us simply by a smile!
