Each morning that has become my prayer as the virus is impacting Burkina Faso. Since we have limited access to our community and limited resources, where would the Lord have us invest to make the greatest impact for His Kingdom? Almost daily that prayer has been answered. The Lord put on our heart a center that our mission had participated in building for the handicapped in our city. From time to time we go to host a Christmas event, or some other form of outreach. But when the virus started and we began praying and asking the Lord to guide us, our thoughts turned to the center (about 300 depend on the center for food and other needs). We went first with facemasks and soap (they had none) and yesterday delivered sacks of food (they had cooked their last meal the day before with no hope that the government could supply more). Isaiah 58:11: "And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail." Our desire in missions is always to be that spring of water for the thirsty, for those most in need. Our prayer is that we would be useful for the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus and be led by Him to those places where He is wanting to make a difference.
