When we first met this young woman, she had just given birth to a premature infant. The father of the baby claimed it was not his. Her own parents rejected her. Only a distant relative was with her at the hospital, but was very angry with her and for the money all this was costing. A few days later the baby died and, since no family member came forward, the chaplain at the hospital buried the child in a nearby cemetery. But we kept in touch with the young woman and have helped her to learn a trade and she has a nearby relative that she lives with. She is now active in her church and eager to please the Lord. This past week we purchased a weaving machine for her so that she can begin to earn money. Nice to see her smiling! We realize that this young woman is just one in a city of thousands who are in need of help. But we also cannot forget the value of one, and the great joy that comes from following through with one person to see them settled. We praise the Lord for allowing us to make a difference in the life of this young woman and we thank you who send us to reach them one person at a time.

What a sad but, alas, a beautiful story of redemption. Lord, I pray she follows you all the days of her life and see her in glory on the big day.
