We had a speaker into our Church years ago from Toronto Ontario who was a x biker that got saved. He had a ministry to prostitutes, he would get them off the streets and put them in his safe house then minister to them. I asked him after the service what he would do if a pimp came by and tried to force himself in to get his girl back what would he do. He responded It has happened and I beat  him up and threw him out and called the police.  As Solomon said there is a time and a place for everything.

If I were to beat someone up, without being in a place of governmental authority, I have taken the law into my own hands, tried them and passed sentence on them according to my self-righteousness. What ever I do to them, I have then carried out the punishment for what I determined to be their crime, their breaking of what I determine to be right and wrong.

I am doing what Isaiah calls kindling or lighting my own fire, not waiting on the Lord.

"Who is among you who fears the LORD, Who obeys the voice of His Servant, Yet who walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust and be confident in the name of the LORD and let him rely on his God.

Listen carefully, all you who kindle your own fire [devising your own man-made plan of salvation], Who surround yourselves with torches, Walk by the light of your [self-made] fire And among the torches that you have set ablaze. But this you will have from My hand: You will lie down in [a place of] torment." [Isa. 66:24]
Isaiah 50:10-11

If I were to shoot and kill someone, I have sealed their eternal fate, as well, most likely to eternal punishment.

Is this the love that we find taught in the Bible? Is this the modern historic concept of getting people saved (delivered)? The crusades, inquisition, etc. did the same types of actions.

All of the following is quoted from the Amplified Bible. The highlighting, of making words bold and underlining, is mine.

Rom 12:18-21  If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave the way open for God's wrath [and His judicial righteousness]; for it is written [in Scripture], "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY," says the Lord. [Deu. 32:35]

BUT IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY, FEED HIM; IF HE IS THIRSTY, GIVE HIM A DRINK; FOR BY DOING THIS YOU WILL HEAP BURNING COALS ON HIS HEAD." [Pro. 25:21-22]

Do not be overcome and conquered by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Act 14:18-22  Even saying these words, with difficulty they prevented the people from offering sacrifices to them.

But Jews arrived from Antioch and Iconium, and having won over the crowds, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, thinking he was dead. [2Co. 11:25; 2Ti. 3:11]

But the disciples formed a circle around him, and he got up and went back into the city; and the next day he went on with Barnabas to Derbe.

They preached the good news to that city and made many disciples, then they returned to Lystra and to Iconium and to Antioch, strengthening and establishing the hearts of the disciples; encouraging them to remain firm in the faith, saying, "It is through many tribulations and hardships that we must enter the kingdom of God."

2Co 11:23-27  Are they [self-proclaimed] servants of Christ?--I am speaking as if I were out of my mind--I am more so [for I exceed them]; with far more labors, with far more imprisonments, beaten times without number, and often in danger of death.

Five times I received from the Jews thirty-nine lashes. [Deu. 25:3] Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked, a night and a day I have spent adrift on the sea; many times on journeys, [exposed to] danger from rivers, danger from bandits, danger from my own countrymen, danger from the Gentiles, danger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger on the sea, danger among those posing as believers;  in labor and hardship, often unable to sleep, in hunger and thirst, often [driven to] fasting [for lack of food], in cold and exposure [without adequate clothing].

But understand this, that in the last days dangerous times [of great stress and trouble] will come [difficult days that will be hard to bear].

For people will be lovers of self [narcissistic, self-focused], lovers of money [impelled by greed], boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane, [and they will be] unloving [devoid of natural human affection, calloused and inhumane], irreconcilable, malicious gossips, devoid of self-control [intemperate, immoral], brutal, haters of good, traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of [sensual] pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of [outward] godliness (religion), although they have denied its power [for their conduct nullifies their claim of faith].

Avoid such people and keep far away from them. For among them are those who worm their way into homes and captivate morally weak and spiritually-dwarfed women weighed down by [the burden of their] sins, easily swayed by various impulses, always learning and listening to anybody who will teach them, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Just as Jannes and Jambres [the court magicians of Egypt] opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, unqualified and worthless [as teachers] in regard to the faith. [Exo. 7:11] But they will not get very far, for their meaningless nonsense and ignorance will become obvious to everyone, as was that of Jannes and Jambres.
2 Timothy 3:1-9

If someone was breaking into your house and they were not going to stop like what was happening to this guy because it was his personnel residence as well as a safe house, you would not try to stop him? I am afraid you are Religious and have not been redeemed because you are very judgmental, and you are part of the reason people have not been writing in. I wonder how effective your ministry is  are you bringing more  converts to your religion or are they being brought to complete reliance to Christ you know the pharisees and you have a lot in common. I know I should not attack people on this site and I could lose my membership but I am sick of your attacks.

The Second Presbyterian Church of Memphis recently updated theirs and I`m sure they would share it with you. There are a lot of "moving parts" to P&P, so a plan is lengthy but can be implemented in stages. Most of the lectures and training is in how to defuse situations that arise, without the use of any weapons. Medical events, severe weather events, as well as loud boisterous people who just need to be gently controlled and escorted outside if needed.

I have noticed over the years that normally the loud voice is the voice of satan while the voice of the Lord is a still quiet voice of peace.

I think I understand what you say in response to the comment made about "loud boisterous people" not generally being under the Holy Spirit?

There is another way that your statement can be applied. The application would be the manner in which Satan speaks to our minds, our thoughts to bring stress, worry and fear of death. Read Ephesians 6:10-20.

Under that direction of thought, we are brought back to the spiritual application of the subject of this thread. Peace is a very important issue; as well as who or what we trust to give us peace. Satan would shout for us to fear, worry, and focus on issues other than trusting and running to the Lord in times of need. He wants us to work-out the dark issues of life with human wisdom and find peace under the arm of man rather than obedience to God's way.

In that direction I would not use a reference to the 'volume' of the voice, as much as the insistent pressure to reason and act in speed and urgency. He does not want us to run to the Father in trust and then wait, in trust and peace, on His answer.

Satan will whisper in our minds that God helps those that help themselves. Satan would have us question God's faithfulness to meet our urgent human needs. The emotional pressure to solve and fix our problems in human ways minus the supernatural working of God. The need to light our own lights when we find ourselves in darkness. Read Isaiah 50:10-11.

Absolute, confident trust equals peace. The question is "Who or what do I really trust?" "Who or what do I really fear?"

And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.  But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. Luke 12:4-5

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.  Hebrews 13:5-6

Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].

Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God's word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart]. The things which you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things [in daily life], and the God [who is the source] of peace and well-being will be with you. Philippians 4:6-9

Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]  John 14:27

You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You. So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages]. Isaiah 26:3-4 Amplified

You keep completely safe the people who maintain their faith, for they trust in you. Trust in the LORD from this time forward, even in Yah, the LORD, an enduring protector!   Isaiah 26:3-4 Net Bible
