It was a prayer request that has been heard for over ten years. A woman in one of my Bible study groups could not get pregnant. The first few years the request was made and we prayed. And then there came a desperation in her request and many tears. And then the sad news that her husband had taken a second wife. But still she persisted in praying and this past Saturday, after 12 years of marriage, she gave birth to a baby girl. We cannot understand the long wait, but we sure can rejoice in our God who still works miracles and does not forget the brokenhearted!
