Arrogate or Faith

Where does arrogance end and faith begin? ...or  …Is there a 'false' faith that is not genuine, but arrogate?

(Proverbs 30:12)  There is a generation who are pure in their own eyes and yet are not washed from their filthiness.

Is this faith or arrogance?

Do we not live in a generation (among classes of people) that live in filthiness (with little desire to separate themselves out of it; or belief that they cannot separate themselves from it) and consider themselves washed pure because of ‘faith’ in the 'name' of Jesus?

This type of thought has been around for centuries; even from the generation that viewed the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, according to the Apostle James. Each of us must decide, live and face the consequences of our actions, based on our beliefs.  (Matthew 7:15- 27)

How does a mind of ‘faith’ that produces ‘no fruit’ (or evidence of its genuineness) differ from the minds of those who are arrogant? (Those who make undo, empty or false pretensions of righteousness or salvation under the use of the name of Jesus Christ. They claim an eternal deliverance from punishment, but deny a present deliverance from ‘the conformity to’ or the ‘filth of’ this world.)

(Proverbs 16:25)  There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

(Proverbs 3:7)  Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD [with reverent awe and obedience] and turn [entirely] away from evil. (evil - to spoil (literally by breaking to pieces); figuratively to make (or be) good for nothing, that is, bad. (NW))

(Proverbs 8:13)  “The [reverent] fear and worshipful awe of the LORD includes the hatred of evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way, And the perverted mouth, I (God) hate.

The definition of arrogant or arrogate from Noah Webster Dictionary

  - To assume, demand or challenge more than is proper; to make undue claims, from vanity or false pretensions to right or merit; as, the Pope arrogated dominion over kings.

(Proverbs 21:2)  All of a person’s ways seem right in his own opinion, but the LORD evaluates the motives.

I am being sanctified, but I do know that I am not fully sanctified. Sanctification is a work over time and will not be complete until we are standing with our Lord in heaven. One who would claim complete sanctificatio while still here on earth and living his/her life on this , would not really understand the concept.  To say we are perfect and no longer need the work done by Jesus on the cross is, in my opinion, missing the message. If indeed one is without sin, he/she can go ahead and cast that first stone.

To Whom it may concern,

I am daily amazed, encouraged, at the faithfulness of my Heavenly Father. I have recently been made aware of more of the powers of God’s creation and his directions (laws) given to His special, peculiar people, for their deliverance from evil.

I am, most recently, learning of a power of music, and the instruments of music, that goes deeper than the words, rhythms, etc., since creation; especially the ministry of the harp, as played by David, without the modifications of the world’s readjustments.

The powers of music not only to heal but to harm are astounding.

This morning I became aware of a new internet radio station, not totally from my persuasion (very Messianic, Jewish), but very ministering compared to modern ‘Christian’ music, with regular scripture reading with the music. I was listening to it as I studied.

I am not often lead to the C&MA website any more, but this morning I was.

Here I am, with a problem, how does anyone correct or help the arrogant to see the Truth in a sweet way? The Word does not give any that I know of. The closest might be that, ‘a gentle answer turns away wrath’.

Jesus was very blunt, especially as He rebuked Peter. Jesus rebuked Peter as he verbalized the fleshly temptations of Satan. To Peter he said, “Get behind Me, Satan!  You are a stumbling block to Me.  For you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.”

The Word is full of Truth to the hungry and thirsty. But, for those that are willfully deceived and arrogant, there are many words and concepts to twist and confuse, in order to maintain darkness.

Yes, all of this power of darkness, has weighed heavy on my heart for many years, long before my presence here on the C&MA site. So, as I was praying about this current post, I struggled with many different possible ways to deal with the problems of deception, in my mind. This issue is getting more and more black and white. The gray area is being removed.

I final asked my Father that somehow He would answer the response to this post. The idea of Him using someone else’s response was on my mind; definitely not what happened.

My thoughts were interrupted, at that moment, by a portion of Scripture that was being read on this new Christian internet radio station, which was playing in the background. I listened.

May the Merciful God's will, who knows all of our hearts and minds, be done here on earth, and the powers of darkness be totally washed clean by the washing of His Word!

The following is Scripture that was being read on that internet radio site. Wow!

Psalms 140   A prayer that David prayed….

….O LORD, rescue me from wicked men! Protect me from violent men, who plan ways to harm me. All day long they stir up conflict.

Their tongues wound like a serpent; a viper's venom is behind their lips. (Selah)

O LORD, shelter me from the power of the wicked! Protect me from violent men, who plan to knock me over. Proud men hide a snare for me; evil men spread a net by the path; they set traps for me. (Selah)

I say to the LORD, "You are my God." O LORD, pay attention to my plea for mercy! O sovereign LORD, my strong deliverer, you shield my head in the day of battle. O LORD, do not let the wicked have their way! Do not allow their plan to succeed when they attack! (Selah)

As for the heads of those who surround me — may the harm done by their lips overwhelm them! May he rain down fiery coals upon them! May he throw them into the fire! From bottomless pits they will not escape.

A slanderer will not endure on the earth; calamity will hunt down a violent man and strike him down. I know that the LORD defends the cause of the oppressed and vindicates the poor.

Certainly the godly will give thanks to your name; the morally upright will live in your presence.

---------------------------------------

Choose you this day whom you will be influenced by and obey!

As for me and my family, we will obey the Lord God of Israel, yoked together as one, with Jesus Christ His Son, our Strength and our Deliverer! John 14, 15 & 17
