It was a written threat delivered to the pastor of the church. Everyone in the village was to participate in the annual sacrifices for the dead. But this is impossible for Christ followers. A special day of prayer and fasting was called for and believers held their ground. To see the church filled and to hear the happy singing in spite of the threat and several of their group having been beaten, reminded us again of the cost of truly following Christ. We praise the Lord for this group that stood firm in the face of the difficulties.

I've often thought what it would be like if my life were threatened for my faith. Would I take a stand in the name of Jesus? So I greatly admire those who have. They have true faith. God bless all the persecuted Christians around the World.
