Recently picked up "The Bait of Satan," and God has been taking me through a profound journey of trusting him to wage and win battles that previously i had believed I had to fight.  This sounds so simple but the truth is that we, all at some point take offense at God, at others, where does this lead us? Down a road that ends up in frustration, burnout, anger, and poor witness. John does a seminal work of assisting us in allowing God to fight and win battles that we think that we have to fight.

Since i began reading this book I have found joy, and grace flow all the more out of me as I minister to people that are difficult at times. I find my stress has decreased and the conversations that I have with people that began, "charged up," turn into grace based conversations that honor God and one another.

Brother thank you sooo much for sharing...I for the last month have been hearing over and over the battle is the Lords . Being so angry at times because I (me) have been trying soo hard to tell ,show and prove the word of GOD to people around me and found a angry bitter mess that I had ended up in the middle of . In that I have found praying , getting more in the word and presence of GOD  what peace joy and most of all assurance that GOD will win the victory , He will win the battle it is not mine ,but HIS .IF I hold my peace (assured ) in HIM and do what as HE leads in what I need to do ...THIS WALK WITH HIM ...is joy unspeakable and full of ALL HIS GLORY...I stand amazed how He will use anyone of us to help the other along HIS WAY....again thank you ,GOD BLESS AND STRENGTHEN YOU MY BROTHER  !  !

Keith,

This issue of offense - with others, self, God, et al.- creates anger and bitterness.  Wow does it!  I went through The Bait of Satan study with a group of women.  Love it. This is a very helpful book and was blessed to realize that EVERYONE gets offended.

Thanks for the post and encouragement.  A book everyone should read.

Yes offenses come.
CHRIST message to John the Baptist & now us, "Blessed is the man who is not offended in me". Jesus by His Spirit will always prompt us to abide in Him humble & assured of His presence to see us through. AMEN & Thank you Jesus......
