Hi. I would like to seek for prayers on sexual and emotional healing. I'm struggling with same-sex attraction, pornography, masturbation and pride. I hate the sins yet I still do it. Sometimes, it just goes out of control, especially when I'm alone at home or in my room. I don't want to live in bondage to sin. Please pray for me.

Thank you.

Without prayer and fasting nothing can be possible so please try to spend those lonely times with prayer and meditating on the word of God. Whenever you are alone just kneel down for at least 20 minutes and speak out loudly so that you may have confidence to dominate the sin and communicate your weakness to Lord. Lord will surely help and empower you to dominate over sin and satanic temptations. Lord bless you.

Benjamin,

I wanted to reply to your post in more depth yesterday but didn't have time. What I wanted to share is that the more conscious you are of your righteousness in Christ, the less sin will have dominion over you. To that end, I highly recommend the writings/sermons of Joseph Prince, whose preaching on grace has helped many believers experience victory over addictions, temptations, and other strongholds. Visit his Web site (http://www.josephprince.org/), listen to his sermons, and/or check out some of his books (I highly recommend "The Power of Right Believing" and "100 Days of Favor").

Something specific that Pastor Prince recommends for those struggling with temptation is to speak the following over themselves daily: "I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus," especially during those moments when faced with temptation.

Spend as much time in God's Word as possible. Put verses about purity, grace, and your identity in Christ on index cards and keep them around your house to meditate on and declare out loud, especially when you struggle with temptation. I've heard many preachers say that believers who are secure in their identity in Christ will struggle far less with sin. Remember that in Christ, you are blameless, without fault, spotless, and washed as white as snow.

You also may want to seek prayer with a mature believer/pastor for deliverance/inner healing.
