I need prayers. Normally I don’t ask for prayers for me. I feel like I don’t deserve that kind of consideration for all I had done and how I ues to live. However, I need to request prayer now. I am still being considered for a good job at a local church. I pasted the interview last week and did some additional paper work, but have not been chosen officially at this time. I need ( not just want ) this job. Please pray that I get it. Thanks.

Praying in agreement with you, Christopher! And here's something to encourage you: all the times in the gospels when people asked Jesus for help, He never once said they had to deserve His help or had to live a certain way to have access to His grace and mercy. There was one occasion when He said it wasn't the right time to grant a request (the wedding at Cana), but even then He intervened and did a miracle.

Throughout the Bible, there are numerous examples of God answering the prayers of people who from all accounts were completely undeserving and unworthy. He even answered the prayers of pagans, including King Naaman. In several of these accounts, a man of God interceded for the undeserving person who needed prayer. Likewise, we don't have to be deserving of other people's prayers. There are commands throughout Scripture for believers to pray for one another, and nowhere does it say those we pray for must somehow deserve our prayers (in fact, we are even commanded to pray for our enemies and to bless those who curse us; how is that for undeserving?). :)

God's grace and tender mercies be with you and His will be done .... may you be strengthened in your inner man and no weapon formed against you prosper ... to God be all the glory for all that He does now, ever and forever....

So thankful that Jesus is our portion... He is worthy and He KNOWS us like none other...  He is bigger and better than I can imagine and I don't deserve anything but He provides for me moment by moment anyway..... May you (may we) know HIs provision and know Him more and more day by day....
