Since she started receiving hospice care, Mom's condition has dramatically improved. We all thought she was dying last week (she even said she wanted to die). Since we got her into hospice, her appetite returned, she has been getting out of bed more often, and she is getting stronger. A big factor may be that she is simply more comfortable. Now that she has a hospital bed, she doesn't have to sleep in a chair, which caused constant pain on her joints. I think it's also been good for her to have the additional social interaction of the hospice team. Plus, tons of people have been praying for her, so I know that God is a huge part of this equation (Alex and I truly feel this is a miracle). Thanks so much for your prayers!
