Thanks to all who were praying for the situation at our apartment complex; God has been at work in amazing ways. Right after my mother-in-law moved in to the building, a Christian tenant named Lupe moved in next-door to her. They've become the best of friends, and Lupe started attending our church. She is a prayer warrior and is constantly reaching out to neighbors with the love of Jesus.

After a neighbor we liked moved out of the apartment across the hall from us, we were praying that God would send a good tenant to replace him, preferably someone a little older (many of the younger tenants have been violent or unstable). Last week, a lovely older couple moved in. When we introduced ourselves and welcomed them to the building, they greeted us warmly and told us to stop by anytime. Lupe has already befriended them, and they seemed touched by her kindness.

Also, several tenants who were unstable/dangerous moved out recently.

Eight years ago when we first moved into this complex, the spiritual darkness was almost palpable. My husband sensed a demonic presence many nights, and several tenants were drug dealers; we even witnessed turf wars right outside our living room window. Once night, we awoke to the sound of shattered glass; a couple had smashed their windows during a drunken brawl. We've seen police chases and have been robbed by some of our neighbors.

Today, it is not the same place it was then. My husband and I, along with a faithful prayer partner, have continued to ask God to send the right tenants to live here and to keep out those who would do harm. And the Lord has answered those prayers. To Him be the glory!
