The visible change in the mother was the first thing I noticed.  Of course, the fact that the young girl was walking without crutches was another huge thing for me.  Aisha had a broken bone sticking out of her ankle for over a year.  The infection was such that the local hospital sent her home to die.  That was when, through such a series of miraculous circumstances, a relative's friend got in touch with me.  The Koutiala hospital agreed to take her and for about 3 months she underwent extensive treatment.  But the time at the hospital was all part of God's plan to bring Aisha and her mom to Christ.  Seeing them surrounded by friends at the hospital, to hear from the chaplain how the two of them had accepted Christ, and to see the visible change on their faces, now that is reason to praise the Lord.  He cares about the poor, the sick, and the needy.
