Hello Christopher,

Two of the greatest lies the enemy whispers in our ear is "You are alone" and "God doesn't care what you're going through." Both are lies. I promise you that He does care, and so do many of us who are here. I would encourage you to reach out to those around you. Speak to a local pastor, Christian counselor or friend, and I will be in prayer that God send people of integrity into your life to encourage you person-to-person. I don't know what you're struggling with, but God knows and I will be in prayer for you. Also, have you ever considered checking out a Celebrate Recovery group? I know a lot of people who attend C.R. to overcome their anger and feelings of hurt or loneliness. You will find a community of believers in Christ there who will not judge you for your struggles, but can help you find victory over these feelings. There are a number of C&MA Churches with Celebrate Recovery programs, but you can also find it in other denominations. You can find one in your area by visiting: http://crgroups.info/

Hi Christopher,

 

I've been wondering about you and also about your Mom.  So good to have you post.  If we have issues and keep reaching out to Jesus even when we 'feel' like things are this, that, and the other,.... well, all I know is GOD KNOWS and GOD CARES and He gives us this forum where we can post and share.  Don't mean we will find a quick fix or that situations will dramatically change But GOD sort of nudges me now and again that it's all okay and He will never leave me nor forsake me regardless of human failure albeit my own inner stuff or a combination of whatever.  Well, brother, I can speak from experience about CR.  Been there dun that.  Years and years before that was involved with emotions anonymous and Codependence anonymous learned that the old, old timers from AA were people with problems who cared about people with problems.   Together they made a difference.  Sponsor and Sponsoree worked together and going to meetings with a topic focus for working an individual step sort of helped each person work their own program and also be helpful to another or others' via sharing.  :-) did I get well?  No and GOD KNOWS and HE is the HEALER And the RESTORER of my soul ... one moment at a time is all I can cope with at times.  Not beating myself up is a biggie for me to overcome.  I falter and stumble and come to Jesus and have another moment that has been infused by His grace.  HALT for 12 steppers stands for Don't: get to angry, lonely or tired.... I'm Just thinking, and also praying.... and so grateful that we are blessed.  Do ya know why we are blessed even when we are hurt, angry, lonely and tired?   Jesus took all, (all) the curses and paid so much for each one of us... He KNOWS all about it whatever it is and I reckon in my old years I may not know much but I do believe I'm trying my utmost to 'EMBRACE THE CROSS' and take up my cross daily and follow Him.  Do I make progress?  GOD KNOWS.  Do I fail, seems about every 5 minutes I can think of something I'm failing at doing or not doing.  So very grateful to be able to share my thoughts here and find that you are posting.  God bless you brother and you may feel alone ... this is not a thing that some of us are ignorant of... I wonder how along Jesus felt?  Well, I'm just doing my feeble best and trust that my Lord Jesus will grant me His righteousness for this moment.  So for this one moment I do know the Joy of the Lord and thank you for giving me an opportunity to post my thoughts.  In case ya need a hug all I can do is post a cyber hug. (((((((((((((Christopher)))))))))))) and God loves you with a perfect love.... reckon HIs love can cast out fear, anger, give rest, and strengthen one moment at a time... So much for my methinks.... hi Christopher,i said a prayer and will say more in the times to come, Iam sorry you feel hurt,angry,alone...of course you are tired as these feelings will just plain exhaust you. That devil that prowls about seeking one to devour knows these weak moments(or days) and he will resort to every trick and dress it up so it is hard to know it is him luring you to aloneness and discouragement,he knows it is in the fold God leads us to be in where we will find comfort and safety. Not ,of course, discounting by far the best helper JESUS who gives you HOLY SPIRIT so you are truely never alone even when the evil one fools you into feeling you are. Lookup brother and look around at others who need you,love you in Christ
