Please pray for my friend Janet, a believer in Colorado Springs who urgently needs a job and a permanent place to live. Due to various factors, including health problems related to a car accident, she has been unable to find a full-time job despite diligent job-hunting efforts (she does occasional house cleaning, but that only pays enough for gas and incidental expenses). Janet was living in her mom’s basement until last week, when her mom told her to vacate the premises (they’ve had a rocky relationship ever since Janet’s childhood, during which she was in and out of foster care). She is currently at a shelter but can only stay there for two weeks. Her mom has given her until April 15 to come and get her things, and then she's going to throw them out. Please pray for God's provision, healing, favor, mercy, and grace for Janet. She's been a Christian since the age of three and has had a remarkably good attitude through many trials going back all the way to her childhood, but she is growing weary of constant hardship. Also, pray for her mom's salvation and that her heart will soften toward Janet. And if anyone reading this in the Colorado Springs area knows of any job or housing leads for Janet, please let me know. Her background is in the creative field and event planning, but she is open to anything for which she is qualified. Thanks so much!

I am so very thankful that she has you for a friend.  We will be praying for her.  God is able to do above and beyond what we can imagine.

any update?

Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us.

We are pressured in every way but not crushed; we are perplexed but not in despair;

we are persecuted but not abandoned; we are struck down but not destroyed.

~2 Corinthians 4:7-9~

Thanks for praying, Donna! The last I heard is that Janet was able to rent a small storage unit and a truck (the truck was just $19, the cost of insurance). She also found a couple of people to help her move her things from her mom's place. Also, she told me there are several other believers at the shelter, and she has been praying with them for the other residents. This has been very encouraging to her.

I heard of a potential job lead for Janet but when she called, she was told there were no openings.

So that's the latest. I will try to remember to post an update if there is any news on her situation.
