First I must say that this is my thought on the term, "change the world" not a personal affront on another believer. That being said, I have to ask where does this thought come from? God is going to change the world for sure, he states it in his word, read Revelations. I hear this statement from many in the modern Christian world. I have heard this "change the world" statement from very well known Preachers and Teachers, and the context being that we will effect a change in this world we live in, much like the secular nonbelieveing world propagates. I have come to a point in my walk, as a child of God, that I am heart broken when we belittle the word of God, and try to modify Him to equal our emotional thought's. I have personaly experianced the statement, "I would put up with poor bibical teaching" to make my child happy with his youth group. Now to some that may be acceptable, but that should never be the case with any Christian!!

Lest we forget this WORLD is satans, our battle is with satan, Eph. 6:12, and the sword we are givin is the Word of truth. My point is, changing lives through Jesus Christ, thats our job! Are you a believer, stay in the word! Stay away from any teaching that is not in the Word. After all is not Christ the living Word?  God be Praised, Jim S

It’s true that the Pay It Forward attitude does do much good in amazing ways.

Would that we could be a Godly society that functions within the human and spiritual protocols of civility. Those who are reborn in Christ and seek to be not just like Him but pleasing to Him, will be inclined toward behaving with love and kindness and that natural moral compass takes over. It certainly makes life easier to deal with on a daily basis. Little pockets of progress occur. Less contention, less meanness, less hurt feelings. I personally think it also disarms demons.

This is a Christian’s mandate, is it not? ‘Love anyway’ is the first rule of engagement with a godless world.  But make no mistake, it is a godless world and no matter how good we are we are not going to change that. The Best of the Best, Jesus, offered the world the opportunity to change themselves so they could exchange this reprobated place for a forever perfect one. If His objective wasn’t to make heaven here on earth then we probably aren’t going to make it happen with our very good intentions. And, to be sure, humanism worships the ‘good for goodness sake’ doctrine that really has no part with Christ.

If we could change the world with our goodness, tell me again why did Christ have to die?

So, we can’t change the world and therefore that’s not our goal. What we can do is be shining examples for others to want to know why we stand out. What makes us different? That’s when we tell them. :)

Matthew 28: 19-20

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

When we practice the Great Commission, we are changing the world one person at a time. Jesus started it, He then had the twelve, the twelve grew into seventy, then three thousand and others daily were added to the church. They changed the world, and we are commanded to do likewise. The final summation will be when Christ returns and rules the nations with a rod of iron. It is wonderful to imagine!

Shalom,
