Pray for a Christian woman who is very sick with pneumonia. She has come to our city hospital for treatment, but is getting worse instead of better. She has 5 month old triplet boys. She is still trying to nurse the babies because of the expense of her own treatment and that of formula. Pray that the Lord would be merciful to this family and bring quick healing and strength for His glory.

Dear Jesus,

I praise You for Your faithfulness. Please, intervene in this mother's life and rid her of all infection. Please heal her weary body, and console her children.

In Your very precious Name in pray,
Lori

Visited this woman again this evening. She was able to sit up and talk with us. Still lots of chest pain and fever. But her husband seemed encouraged with her progress. I hope to visit the babies tomorrow. Please keep this Christian family in your prayers.

Yesterday morning, we received the difficult news that this young mom had passed away. We are saddened for his husband. They live about a 2 hour drive away from us, so it won't be until tomorrow that I can make the trip to visit and check on the babies. We know that the Lord is at work and will receive glory. Pray that we can be an encouragement to this family. This is about the 5th funeral for me this summer. One of the difficult things that we face here.

My heart hurts for all of you. Dear Lord, please bring your balm of comfort and your encouragement of everlasting life to this situation. Please God, be a rest to all who grieve. In addition Lord, please ease other trials that are still present in these dear lives, for they certainly will be too much to bear for those who grieve.

In Jesus Name,
amen

Visited out in the village today. Pouring rain, horrible roads, but we arrived at their courtyard full of people, the great cloud of witnesses. We were glad to bring our help and encouragement to this family.

Attached File  triplets.jpg   241.16KB   0 downloadsReport about the triplets from our doctor friend, Suja Brane:  The littlest one Samuel had the best weight gain on this visit and finally made it onto WHO's weight chart.  They have been getting just bouille made of millet.  So plenty of calories but not enough protein/vitamins.  So today, in addition to formula, we took them homemade burkina bouille mix made with millet, dried fish, beans, peanuts, corn- yeah, all the things AAP tells you not to give infants- it is a fortified supplementary feeding for infants in West Africa.  I am incredibly hopeful that with this, they will look even better.  I know the older two look big but there is something about their "bigness" that makes me uncomfortable- so this should help.
