I work in an assisted living center,it is a facility that is private pay and the beautiful folks I get to serve and serve with are blessings every day but today I have a really special and lovely story to share. The story is about a dear old man who shared that he spent FORTY YEARS attending the same church but until recently he said no one ever told him outright that it is his soul that Jesus sought.....he is terminal with a very short time here left but he was so blind all his life 'cause he did not know Jesus,he knew of him and did things for him,but in the past week God has moved on his heart and opened his eyes so now he SEES,his excitement and happiness just overflows on all who get the pleasure of being with him. What if I had died without Jesus and all the while I thought I was good to go,I rejoice with him as I know you will too,our brother in Christ. We should be who we are right where we are and share Jesus even if we think well they are not interested or I bet they already know, just ask God to show you who his people are, they are all around us waiting to hear the good news the best news ever, the Gospel of Christ,I am so humbled and honored to know this man and to have all of you to share with! God is so good!

Thanks for sharing! What a testimony to God's mercy; God saw fit to make sure this man did not die without Him!

In The Pursuit of God, A. W. Tozer writes, "Jesus taught that He wrought His works by always keeping His inward eyes upon His Father. His power lay in His continuous look at God (John 5:19-21)."

I so enjoy that story Elizabeth! The elderly are so vulnerable in their end-of-life stage. I would hope to see more elderly coming to Christ in large numbers. And, as you wrote, we need to boldly just share Christ. I often think, as you mentioned, they've heard the Gospel already. The nation is so overly exposed to a very shallow, phony form of religious Christianity with so much hypocrisy, I think sometimes these unbelievers just see it coming when you mention the name "Jesus". I've failed many times because of this reason.

Thank you for blessing the Elderly by serving them in Christ.
Love, Candice
