As the weekend draws near and I prepare to attend not one but two funerals,I am spending alot more time in prayer and the Word because I know my strength comes from Jesus and I need alot I need it His strength to be filling me daily to overflowing not to store it up but to pour it out till almost empty to those around who need it whether they know they need it or not.I have full confidence that Jesus will continually fill my needs as He already knows them.I have this assurance in Him not me and He will never leave me or let me down. The same promises are for all who will only just believe on Him.So much death all around yet the promise of eternal life with Lord Jesus sustains me and is my bread and cup.Thank you Jesus for saving us ,so we can go out and give you glory and bring others to the feet of Jesus, the only really restful place in a weary world.

Having been on the other side of the funeral thing a few months ago, I can honestly say that I do not remember all of the people who came, but I do remember those who showed me the love of the Lord that they had in them. The numbness that falls upon the widower is of such great weight and vastness that it is hard to see anywhere to go with the grief and lonliness. I do remember those who hugged me and said "I love you, but more importantly Jesus loves you". "May God bless you and your family as you travel this path". A sincere statement of God`s love and a smile......really go a long way. I know you will handle this with all the christian love and dignity that you have, and from your posts on here, you very obviously have a lot.

May God bless you Elizabeth as you show your obvious love and give christian comfort,

Charlie
