Some of you may recall that my dad (Hank), who turned 80 this year, has dealt with a number of health issues in recent years, including heart problems, and that God healed him after I requested prayer for him in the past. You may also remember that he and my stepmom are raising their teenage granddaughter (Shannon), who had been in abusive situation. Currently, they are in desperate need of prayer again. In the past several weeks, my dad has taken some very bad falls. No bones were broken, but in two instances (within a week or two of each other), he fell against some furniture and scraped a lot of skin off his arms and was bleeding profusely. He also got a black eye during one fall. Just the other day, he was in the hospital for another fall (he was released in a few hours). He was told to use a walker, but so far no cause for these falls has been determined (they did an MRI after the last fall and are awaiting results). In addition, dad has urinary problems that are keeping him up most of the night, but three urologists have been unable to diagnose the problem. My stepmom (Betty) has her own health issues (bad back and ankles), and Shannon is constantly sick with asthma and sinitis (she has been hospitalized multiple times and missed a lot of school). Betty is overwhelmed and says their lives are in constant turmoil. I believe they are under attack by the enemy. They are devout believers, and Shannon (who used to be an atheist) has come to know Jesus while in their care. Please pray for complete healing for all of them and for protection from the attacks of the enemy. Pray, too, for God's peace to reign in their hearts. Thank you!

Praying for God to take full reign of the situation and bring His complete healing and peace.

In The Pursuit of God, A. W. Tozer writes, "Jesus taught that He wrought His works by always keeping His inward eyes upon His Father. His power lay in His continuous look at God (John 5:19-21)."

Thanks, Candice! I haven't heard anything new from them. I'll probably talk to them again around Christmas. I'm Facebook friends with Shannon and haven't seen anything on her timeline about any new health issues, so I am thinking things are stable for now. I will be sure to post any updates or praise reports.
