I was feeling a little sorry for myself because things just wasn't lining up the way I thought it should so I was yeah feeling sorry for myself and kinda grumpy too! A knock came on the door, after I had been cleaning house and praying in my heart and out loud for God to help me stop this way I was feeling,it was two little boys best friends one was black and the other was white.I asked them if they knew Jesus and that He loved them. They both grinned so big I actually could feel their happiness and sincerity and they said yeah we know him.Wellof course I bought their candy and one bar for each of them.God sent them to my door to help me and I went inside feeling so good and shamed at the same time.I can be so spoiled acting and get trapped in lies the devil tries to get me to believe.Thank God for his love and forgiving mercy that never runs out=)I pray for the boys and hope they come a knockin' soon.
as always love in Christ
poor me,really!

Elizabeth,
How sweet! The devil is masterful at knocking us down. But the Lord is more masterful at picking us up!! The devil usually attacks me first thing in the morning before I get out of bed. That's when I'm at my weakest, and the devil can have me thinking that the world is falling apart before I get up. However, Jesus, ever sweet, and ever faithful rescues me and keeps me smiling! What a Savior! Thanks for sharing!!

In The Pursuit of God, A. W. Tozer writes, "Jesus taught that He wrought His works by always keeping His inward eyes upon His Father. His power lay in His continuous look at God (John 5:19-21)."

A note for this saying of feeling low I got from my sister:
Let's have a "Chinese pity party: Yuk, yuk yuk!"
Better than eating gummy worms.
Rejoice evermore,
Gordy

I don't want people to think I'm being facetious in my previous post, for I have problems with depression. I guess I had better pray and keep remarks I make to myself.

Gordy, –Sorry that you have a problem with depression. I understand what it's been like for me but can't say or won't say I know how you feel. Please make your remarks and share. I write/speak as an older person about an old saying, some of the old herbalist would say "Better out than in" when someone was having varying physical symptoms of a healing crisis. Be it physical or emotional God KNOWS and people suppose. So I suppose David and Elijah and Jeremiah knew about depression in an experiential sense. I do not believe that you were being facetious in any way. Perhaps repeating something that someone said to you was reaching out and sharing from your heart and soul. And to rejoice evermore sends me to research an old commentary. –Barnes' Notes on the Bible; and fairly resent commentaries on many topics –Biblical Counseling Keys– Depression Walking from Darkness into the Dawn by June Hunt. It seems that reaching out as we are able to and whatever we do to maintain by the grace of God and is uniquely individualized. May God grant you His personalized tender mercies and grace sufficient. I do tend to be too wordy so please forgive me.

It's so amazing how God uses the little things to show Himself to us.
God bless you.
