I saw this at a church that we visited last Sunday A.M. while on vacation.

Biblically based rules for life in dealing with gray areas:

1. Expedience - is this useful? ( ) I Corinthians 6:12a
2. Enslavement - will this control me? ( ) I Corinthains 6:12b
3. Edification - will this strengthen me? ( ) I Corinthians 10:23
4. Exaltation - will this glorify Jesus Christ? ( ) I Corinthians 10:32
5. Evangelism - will this help me win others to Christ? ( ) Colossians 4:5
6. Excess - do I really need this? ( ) Hebrews 12;1
7. Emulation - is this what Jesus would do? ( ) I John 2:6
8. Example - will this set the correct example? ( ) Romans 14:7, 13

Interesting list and a pretty good way to start any activity. I don`t guess I have ever had any systematic method of evaluating "grey areas", but things sort out quickly if you ask yourself...If I see Jesus tomorrow and have to discuss this activity, would He be pleased that I am part of it?

I like that Charles. It reminds me of a lesson I was taught way back in elementary school. In fact, this is about the only lesson I remember from then, just wish I had been practicing it all these years. Mr. Niece, 6th grade teacher, reminded us again and again that before we do anything, we should ask ourself how we would feel if that action was the headline of the next mornings newspaper.

I guess that to move that to today, how would you feel if this action/thought were to immediately be tweeted and facebooked to everyone you know?

In Christ,
Travis

Greetings All ( new to this board )

Reading this post reminded me of something I am making an effort to say out loud or to self continuously from the time my little peepers open.

In purpose, thought and action let us glorify our Lord and Savior.
Amen.
