Any of you have a barometer by which you judge if you are really going in God's direction? I'm dealing with something right now that I believe in my heart is God's direction for me and my congregation. Problem is I am experiencing conflicting feelings from my closest and strongest advocates. How can I tell if I'm my spirit is right or theirs?
In Christ our Healer,

Pastor David,

I'm probably not a good one to answer this question but I was listening to Charles Stanley the other day and He said when God answers you there is no question. God isn't wishy washy, He is clear. If you are asking and still have not heard for sure; perhaps the timing isn't right and more patience is needed.

Just last night at a Bible study we read about the time when Samuel was first called. Eli told him to "“Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening."

I guess the key might be for you to just listen, after you have made certain your decision is in accordance with Biblical principles.
