I am curious about movies. What is the stand on this topic. (please keep in mind that I am a former Baptist).

As far as I know, the C&MA has not issued an official statement about movies. I work at the National Office, and there is no prohibition against watching movies for National Office employees. I do know that many of our overseas workers use the JESUS film and other Christian movies as evangelistic tools. I would think that any Christian should use discernment in this area and avoid seeing movies that dishonor the Lord. Since the C&MA has not issued a statement about movies to my knowledge, I would conclude that this is probably a matter of conscience, something between the individual believer and God. Perhaps someone else with more knowledge of the issue can weigh in on this topic.
