Thanksgiving in Burkina Faso. Rebekah did not want to go to school today, especially since her other M.K. friends had the day off. She was feeling a bit sorry for herself to have to go to school on Thanksgiving. As we made our way to the French school this morning, I prayed a prayer of encouragement for her and said, "Lord, give Rebekah something to be thankful for today." At about 9 a.m. Andrew got a call from the school saying that the teacher for Rebekah's class was sick and they were cancelling her classes after 9:30 this morning. Who ever heard of such a thing? No school ever sends children home. They go to the library or sit in their class for an extended study hall. But God delights to answer even the small prayers to show that He is present and active. He answers prayer to increase our faith and to assure us that we are not in this alone. You can imagine how excited Rebekah was when she came bursting in the door. She said she is ready now to write her own book on "how I know God answers prayer."

Praise God! We have not because we ask not. I thank God for your loving obedience to pray for one another in all things. Jesus spent 3 years teaching the apostles how to pray, in practice, not just in theory...DISCIPLESHIP. Today we do what we saw our father do... teach one another by telling of God's good deeds-the prayer he answers, taking one another under wing, encouraging along the way, using the Word to encourage, teach, correct and rebuke. Without his Spirit we can do nothing of eternal value, especially in the mission field. I wear a Burkinabe bracelet to remember to pray for you and all missionaries daily. I pray that, no holds barred, you have the ability to have on-your-face-time with God every morning to get into his presence so you can move in Him and with Him in the fullness of the power of the Holy Spirit for massive resurrection power ministry to win souls. God bless you and strengthen you with the power of his love.
