Vigil of the Prayer Warrior
Heavenly Father, open our eyes to the spiritual
battle that daily rages around us. Help us to know
that we are neither unarmed nor alone in this warfare.
As we stand shoulder to shoulder with our
brothers and sisters in arms, gird us with your truth,
that we would stand against the lies of the enemy.
Hide your word in our hearts and cover it with your
righteousness, that we would be rightly related to you.
Cover our feet with your peace, that we would boldly
take your love to a lost world. Fill our minds with the
knowledge of your salvation, that we would be
assured of your saving grace and share it openly with
others. Strengthen our faith in you, that it would
be a shield against the attacks of the enemy.
Teach us to wield your Word as a mighty sword,
dividing the truth, tearing down strongholds,
and setting free the captives.
Lead us to pray always and everywhere, to be vigilant
against the forces of evil in this dark world.
In the precious Name of Christ, Amen.
