Thanks to all who have been praying for Lori, who feared she might have ovarian cancer. So far, three out of four biopsies came back negative; she is awaiting results of the final biospy. Apparently, my mother-in-law miscommunicated the situation to me, saying that an initial biospy indicated a rare form of cancer, but that was not the case (In her confusion, she was referring to the cervical cancer Lori had two years ago, which was successfully removed through surgery). Praise the Lord for His goodness and mercy! I apologize for the miscommunication; my mother-in-law gets confused very easily these days!

Please continue to pray for Lori's spiritual condition and her troubled relationship with family members. After hearing from his mom that Lori has a deep-seated antagonism toward him, my husband (Alex) has been reaching out to her in hopes of restoring their sibling relationship. However, she won't answer his letters or speak to him on the phone. We are mystified as to what the problem is, since she acts as if everything is fine when we see her in person during family vacations and visits (she lives about a six-hour drive away, so we don't see her very often; this has made reconcilation more challenging, since Alex can't just hop in the car and take her out for coffee).

Thanks for praying, RuthAnn! Alex is planning to send her flowers as a tangible expression of his love and care for her. He's done that several times in the past, and it always seemed to touch her heart (she may be able to throw away a letter without opening it, but flowers are harder to resist!) :).
