I don't know how many of the Alliance Missionaries visit these forums, but I just wanted to give a word of encouragement to you who do - Sharon Kendall visited our church today, and spoke during Sunday School and the Worship Service about her and her husband Jim's work in Indonesia. It was awesome to see what Jesus is doing through Jim and Sharon, and awesome to see people coming to faith in Christ in a very difficult place. I left our service so energized to continue to serve Christ in every way that I can.

I don't know how hard it is for you international workers to go on speaking tours in the US, but I hope you know that you do more than just help get people to give to the GCF - you touch peoples hearts with the stories of how the Holy Spirit is moving all over the earth. I appreciate all your faithful service, and giving up your time at home to tour around the C&MA districts.

Thanks!

In Christ,

Dave

Hear, hear! Our Fall Missions Conference, with a visiting missionary speaker, is always a highlight of our year.

I am new to this forum but, having been a missionary to India for eight years, I can say that the words you share here are powerful. Isolation is a real danger for mission workers, but encouragement comes knowing that there are people out there who lift us up in prayer, and who are encouraged by our work. Bless you, Brother.
In Christ,

This past Sunday, our church had a Skype video call with one of our members, who is a Doctor at the Bongolo Hospital in Gabon, West Africa. We got to hear a report from her, talk to her about recent persecution of Christians near Bongolo, and pray for her and for the situation. When it was over, and we had cut the connection, I was overwhelmed with awe. We had just had a video chat with someone in West Africa!! And had prayed together, and said Amen together, and it was amazing.

All it took was a $30 webcam, a high-speed internet connection, and some coordination. And it was the talk of the church afterwards.
