Filled with the Holy Spirit

A.W. Tozer received a "Baptism" (you can say filling I suppose) in the Holy Spirit subsequent to his salvation. I did as well. Since receiving Him, I hear Him speak clearly to me through His Word, and I can feel His tangible presence. I was saved for three years prior to receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
I think many churches have damaged His reputation. My experience with the Holy Spirit is the same as A.W. Tozer's. I cannot imagine living without Him. I received Him by seeking Him through prayer, and others prayed for me.

I was reading Acts and had some revelation that the 120 were told don't go out until... I thought if I ask for the infilling which I read happened to others and the results were so amzing then I must be able to ask too. and mine was confirmed with other tongues ( I know some do not believe that but this is my testimony).
I am becoming more aware every day of that infilling presence of Holy Spirit - which by the way Jesus said He would send for us and to us.
ask and expect Dave - don't make the gospel complex - God made it simple for simple guys like me.

In the intervening years, I have studied the Scriptures, and have come to the conclusion that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is something that happens to all believers, at conversion - we are all baptized by one Spirit into one Body. But from time to time, the Holy Spirit fills His people with power, and enables them to operate in supernatural ways. He also gives spiritual gifts to His people, of different kinds to different folks, as He wills. These spiritual gifts are more or less always "on" for those people, whereas at times, He switches them "on" for others for specific purposes. To every believer, He has given some spiritual gift.
My experience seemed to follow the traditional Pentecostal "second work of grace/initial sign of tongues" teaching, but the Scriptures have convinced me that my interpretation of those experiences was off. I was baptized in the Spirit when He justified me by His Grace. When I was 12, He filled me with power to serve and to worship. Since then, He has occasionally filled me with other gifts on a limited basis. This seems to fit the Scriptures' testimony, and my experience can certainly fit into that.

O that more ministers would ask this same question and seek Him until they be 'endued with power from on high'!
