So why is it I find myself behind the wheel so often? Or am I not suppose to admit that online?

It's okay, Bob - I think we all find ourselves behind the wheel more often than we'd like to admit! Thankfully, the good Lord still protects us from wrecks in spite of ourselves!

Well said brother. And I am also reminded that when "I" am "in control" (ha!), it is because of fear and when God is in control it is always from and with Love...

a comforting & disturbing Grace

The song "Jesus take the wheel" by Carrie Underwood comes to mind...

Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
To save me from this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel
