As I am sitting here at my desk, starting the last hour of my 24 hour shift, I opened up my devotional and read the day's message. Now this particular reading, had I stayed with the days when I started the 30 day devotional, should have been read last week, but as it usually happens with me I got busy or distracted, or lazy and neglected it for a couple days. Recently, more like lately, I have been falling into Satan's trap of only looking at negatives of my current situation instead of concentrating on the positives. Anyway, this morning's reading really spoke to me, it was entitled "The Need for Vitamin D", the need for light. Without getting into it verbatim, it reminded me to not just be the light for others, but to find the light in my darkest times. It was a great reminder that one small act of kindness, or the realization of a good moment when it happens can change the course of the entire day. Friends, we need to be the light for someone, or find the light in our own lives, otherwise darkness is going to consume us and we will be trapped in the nasty web that Satan weaves. So we should challenge ourselves daily to find the good moment(s) in our day. God loves all of us and wants us to "let your light shine before others". Those little moments are all around us, we need to seek the light and find the happiness in our lives.
