Going into all the world involves going to places that are experiencing war, crime, and devastating loss. As security issues keep us close to our city, our Burkina Team is more than ever focusing on equipping believers. This week we sponsored a trauma healing workshop for our pastors’ wives. These women are on the front lines of dealing with those who have experienced trauma and loss. One woman recently came to the church who had witnessed her husband killed in front of her.

We are involved in food distributions and meeting the practical needs, but we want to assure that those receiving displaced peoples are equipped for every good work. This involves understanding the grieving process and the signs that indicate someone in your church might be dealing with trauma and loss. We are thankful to be a part of a mission that understands the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of those we are reaching with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

So glad to hear you are doing this. I am working with a ministry in Ukraine, and they will obviously be in need of resources and prayer for dealing with trauma for generations to come.
