As I reflect on the past 22 months with the Pandemic I think of how this disease has changed people’s lives . Visits to the store are a list of check items (have I got my mask , do I feel well, do I need my vaccination proof, Etc. I hope and pray that soon this pandemic will soon leave, if things work right the pandemic that hit 103 years ago lasted slightly over 2 years, there may be help yet. I trust in God to help us through this even if the help comes in keeping us sane through this time. The worse seems to be that of not gathering with family and friends.

My little sanity comes with doing maintenance at Huron Hospice of which I am also a board member. It must be hard enough as a nurse working at our Hospice to deal with death almost on a weekly basis, then also dealing with restrictions to who can visit. Thank you nurses.

This year with sadness my sister lost her husband and our very good neighbour also passed, the hard part is not being there to say goodbye, and put your arm around the loved ones left behind. To the ones left behind may the Lord keep you and give you peace.

On the positive side over this pandemic Jane and I have attended 2 weddings, our oldest grandson and our oldest granddaughter, plus a third one to be married in May? So as nature takes its course our second oldest granddaughter had a child 2 weeks ago and my oldest grandson and his lovely wife are expecting a new child in February? That’s right Jane and myself are great grandparents, don’t forget the great part.

My the Lord bless you and keep you and have a Merry Christmas.
