We have based our hospital ministry on Matthew 25.39-40, “ When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?” And the King will say, “I tell you the truth when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!” Wednesday afternoon we meet at the local city hospital Chapel for prayer. We then make our way through the different pavilions offering prayer to any that are interested. We provide practical help as well for those who do not have the means for medicines, or surgeries, or yes, even burial. Caring for the sick has been part of our CMA DNA, though often it is difficult to understand why some experience healing and others do not. This woman was at the hospital with her daughter who was seriously ill. The daughter had already had one surgery on her intestines and the medical staff did not think further surgery would help the situation. This distraught mother asked our team to pray and to continue to pray. The Lord heard that prayer and began a healing process and within a short time this little girl was able to eat and gain weight. We thank the Lord for the privilege of visiting the sick and for the times He works through those prayers to bring healing. We also thank Him for what we learn from unanswered prayers, trusting in His goodness and faithfulness in the midst of what we cannot understand
