Are there any testimonies involving C&MA's process on planting a church? I would be interested in hearing how the finances work as I hear that C&MA highly encourages bi-vocational pastors. I read the topic under "church planting" but it is just general information. Any great literature? Thanks for input!

"Planting Missional Churches" by Ed Stetzer is a book I found very helpful on the topic of church planting (good for dialogue and thinking). I know a pastor who tried a couple different jobs to find one that best met his needs while freeing him to pastor the church. He found it helpful to have a job in which he worked more hours on specific days that left other days completely open.

I think it is important to seek God as to what He desires and provides. Much will depends on where you plant and what partnerships God provides. God could connect a planter with a group that have a heart for planting a church and much support is provided. Churches have also started as missional Bible studies with the planter working full time or nearly full time.
