Mr Comer asks a few stark questions about modern Christianity.

What have we lost? Let me propose that the greatest thing I observe ( from north of the 49th) is that North American believers have so much - but use so little. We have great revelation of God and His principles but if we fail to use those we fail to be light. Be doers Paul said. It appears to me we have a multitude of harvesters sitiing idly while the harvest wastes.

I have observed through my ministry here in Canada - Canada Family Action - that it is very difficult to call the church to arise and influence the culture we live within. And daily we see the horrendous results in the lives of so many. We do not confront the darkness right next to us. Silence is like the basket over the light.

Light will disperse darkness but not unless it shines. How many Christians I know who are well versed in the word, who are deeply believing but who are silent and invisible in witness of the great things God has done and promises to do.

Share your testimony church - so many are in need of what you have . That old addage - use it or lose it - is here seen when the unchurched are not affected by you who have the truth and love.

What we have lost is the spirit to act - to let our light so shine that men will se it and glorify our God.

Amen Brian! I'm reminded of a lyric by Keith Green:

The world is sleeping in the dark,
That the church can't fight, cause it's asleep in the light,
How can you be so dead, when you've been so well fed,
Jesus rose from the grave, and you, you can't even get out of bed,

I pray for the heart of Jesus for myself...and us all...to push ahead no matter the cost because there are countless souls marching to eternity without Him. Thanks for the admonition!
