The Web Team will be upgrading the current MyCMA experience in the fourth week of August, making it more accessible to the general public. One of the key elements in this upgrade will be the inclusion of a "community" page as the default when someone signs-in.

For the first time we will be expanding the user base for the eCommunity forums and enabling someone to join in the discussions simply by providing an email address.

We will maintain the integrity of the members-only environment (porting over the current discussions), but will redefine what we call a member. What I'm looking for is a general impression of what this will do for your interaction with each other and The Alliance as a whole.

Attached is a list of the Public and Member's Only forums and their descriptions. The Public forums will be readable by anyone, but will not be able to be commented on unless the individual is signed-in.

The members only forums will be readable only when someone has signed in, so in effect we are adjusting the qualifications for membership and thus opening the doors to enable a greater opportunity for broader impact.

So now comes the fun part. I've seeded the ground with a few questions:

1. Do you have any thoughts based on what you see on the preview? Does it make sense?
2. Do you have any questions about how this affects previous discussions and posts?
3. What are your thoughts on the new forums and descriptions?
4. What do you think you will see with a new and broader accessibility to the discussions?

I look forward to your thoughts! Comment here or Email me

The new forum subjects make more sense to me than the way they were delineated before. It's much easier to see where your post or new thread might fit in. And the introduction forum is really good. It will make new members feel welcomed and more at home.

The prayer forum is a wonderful one. I wonder if having that one open to non members will stilt posting there?

Thanks for the input RuthAnn!

We are seeing a rise in people posting (to prayer requests specifically) as well as new members being added daily. Looking forward to the "garden growing". I'd also encourage you to let people in your sphere of influence know about this community and the MyCMA as we will be adding to it as time goes on.

Let me know if there is anything I might help with to spread the word. It might interest you to know that since we launched the new MyCMA we have had 429 new subscriptions! Keep the posts and replies coming.
