Thank you for the reply Candice. As you can see, I also had not posted for a while, and for the same reasons as you but I know that satan is the prince of this world for now and will lurk around people who love the Lord. He needs to understand that the Lord in us is far greater than he who is in the world and attempts to make me stop saying that fact just won`t work. I know who I am in the Lord and satan`s work, wherever I am confronted by it, will not shut me up!
I remember when I was so down and miserable friends would come over and visit, fellow church members would stop by, and that was all very, very nice. But I needed something else and I found that I already had it by what happened here. There are people all over who have experienced similar tragedies, crushing blows, and depressing situations who came through with the help of the Lord. A testimony by another believer, even though you have never met personally, somehow is a wonderful, soothing thing. This forum is a place where people who are walking daily with the Lord can make others aware of how Jesus wants us to react to Him and this world. We already know what we should do but it certainly is very helpful to hear from someone who is actually "walking the walk" with Him and learning how to "lean on" Him hour by hour.
I love all my friends here and will understand if some do not wish to confront certain ideas and personality types, neither do I, but actually that is where we are. I will not confront or argue with any, but I will do my best to tell others what Jesus means to me and what wonderful things He has done for me, a sinner saved by His grace. God knows my name, just as He knows yours, and for some unknown, magnificent reason, He loves us, has forgiven our sins, and has allowed us to ask Him to come live in us. Just how wonderful is that? I have heard many things throughout my life, some good news and some not so good, but the one thing I want to hear more than any other is "well done my good and faithful servant, you have run the good race and fought the good fight", "come on in to my rest and have a seat"! How great a day that will be!
May God bless you all,
Charlie
